The Andaman Islands are blessed with a tropical climate, with neither freezing cold winters nor the wrath of a blazing summer heat. Andaman weather remains humid and warm for the greater part of the year, with temperatures ranging between 23°C and 31°C.
The best time to visit Andaman is from October to March, when the islands are blessed with clean and calm weather. Winter is also the best time to visit Andaman if you wish to experience the entire range of activities like snorkelling, parasailing, undersea walk etc. The months from November to February are also the best for adventure activities and bird-watching in Andaman. The Andaman tourism department also organizes the Island Tourism Festival every year in Port Blair during winter, to encourage Andaman Nicobar tourism.
During the monsoon in Andaman (end June till about the beginning of September), you can enjoy a different side of the Andaman weather. Book a sea-facing or beachside room with a view, and enjoy the gorgeous views of the tropical clouds and occasional rain showers. Despite the Andaman weather not being optimum during monsoon, a lot of visitors travel here during these months to take advantage of off-season rates which bring down the Andaman tour package cost during this period.
